Miss Jade, Did You Do It?
It's an old article but I just can't get it out of my head. Thanks to America's Next Top Model yesterday on channel 5, which reminded me of her.
From last thursday's Urban dated 161106(and I've shortened it a little):
This foreign import arrived on Singapore's shores a month ago and has been apparently displaying rather low - class behaviour off the runway. Word is that during Singapore Fashion Week earlier this month, she has been popping up in places she should not have been and asking things she was not entittled to have.
Actually, it was just one measly bottle of red wine.
At the opening night's gala dinner, she reportedly went around asking organisers: "The wine is lovely, where can I get a bottle?"
When told that she could buy a bottle of the brand for $24 - the equivalent of $15 in her home country - at the supermarket, she seemed unimpressed.
She then proceed to harass the other guests at her dinner table about where to score a freebie bottle. She went home that night empty - handed, and you'd think it was the end of the affair.
But no. The next day, after catwalking for several local designers, she ingratiated herself into the VIP lounge to again forage for that free bottle of wine. The bartender relented and gave her one, which she unabashedly slid into her bag before slithering off.
Hmm, I recalled Life only mentioned one model who came for the Singapore Fashion Week. I mean there are many other foreign models coming over for this but I"m certain they are talking about Miss Jade Cole.
As quoted from her "I'm the next undiscovered Next Top Model." Hello, I think you forgot to add in the word cheapskate. Thankfully the judges eyes aren't blind and didn't let her win the competition. Phew...
